Wandering Around Downtown Chicago – Part 5

Stupid of me but I’d almost forgot that this series wasn’t over yet. At least I’m not completely senile to totally skip this set’s conclusion. I think I’m going through the lazy phase again. Or maybe it’s the winter and the very cold weather which I absolutely hate. Lately I’ve had other things on my mind too but I hope that will not detract me from continuing to post regularly. My love for photography will never die but unfortunately the life of an “adult” doesn’t allow you much time for engaging in whatever pleasant activities tickle your fancy. But enough excuses. Here it goes.

There’s a place in Chicago’s downtown, a mall or something, which has an interesting staircase going to the second floor. There are two escalators, with a peculiar marble cascading waterfall in between. I forget what this place is called. “The Waterfall” or something.

I was inside this same place, looking out, and this man was looking in through the glass doors. The mall’s logo is on the door.

I don’t like kids. Yeah, I know – shoot me. Occasionally though, I come across a really cute kid that, surprisingly, I like. This kid was one of those. Her mother was white (the lady carrying her) and her father definitely black, though he wasn’t with them. Her mother had two other kids with her that were also fifty-fifty. I’ve traveled to many places and countries in my life and I’ve seen many different cultures and races but the one thing that seems to be common everywhere is that inter-racial kids are really good looking. It seems they inherit the best genes from both parents. Anyway, this little girl kept smiling at me while I snapped a couple of shots. If only all kids were like her…

Although this was well into the month of January, one of the Christmas trees in Chicago still had all its lights on.

Finally, I came across a very interesting wall, covered in dried-up vines. They remind me a little bit of a horror movie.
