Wandering Around Downtown Chicago – Part 4
I’ve been busy lately and haven’t been able to post any more series but here’s the next part of my stroll through Chicago’s downtown. The day had started sunny but cold, the streets had been deserted in the morning and around noon, but later, as it became colder and the shadows grew longer (heh heh rhymes doesn’t it?), more and more people filled the streets. They come out at night.
I was getting cold and hungry so I pulled in a Starbucks and got something with coffee in it. These girls were also having something with coffee in it.

I didn’t know Michigan Avenue was officially called “The Magnificent Mileâ€Â. This signpost proved it.

Here’s what looks like a classy restaurant. There were people at the second floor dining and staring down on everyone else on the street.

I like back alleys in a Stephen King-esque way. This one was rather clean looking but I darkened it up a bit in Photoshop.

There were parked horse carriages waiting for passengers. A passer-by tried to pet one of the horses. I don’t know who was more scared: the woman or the horse.

And this concludes my 4th part of this series. Stay tuned for the conclusion.
