The Walmart Syndrome
What has the following story got to do with today’s series of photographs? Very little. But here’s my story.
“Sorry but you can’t take pictures here!”
“Why not?”
“Because your cameras are too big and you have tripods.”
“So what??”
“That means you’re professionals. And you need a permit for taking pictures here.
“What about these hundreds of other people taking pictures??”
“They have small cameras.”
And you, my friend, are a fucking retard. What if I, with my professionally large camera, pull a point-and-shoot from my pocket? Does that make me less of a professional? Am I then allowed to snap away?
The moral? Fuck them. Some people are too mentally challenged to realize that taking a picture is the same, whether you’re using a big SLR or a tiny P&S. Or, for that matter, using a tripod.
